Q: How much is fall ball?
A: 2019 Fall Baseball is $75 for TBall, $100 for AAA and Rookie, and $120 for Major 60 through Babe Ruth ($10 discount for each additional sibling AAA--Babe Ruth only), $40 for concession buyout. Concession Buyout is only available during registration.
Q: How do I register?
A: Click on the box above marked Register Now. Follow the instructions. For images of your documents you can scan your documents and load them up or take a photo with your phone camera and load from phone. If you are having trouble with online registration, ask for help online or send email to email@example.com. We will have 1 day of in-person registrations in January and will announce those dates at the beginning of January.
Q: When does spring baseball start? (THESE MAY CHANGE BEFORE SEASON STARTS)

Q: What is included with registration? What do I need to provide for my player equipment?
A: Registration includes shirt and hat for Fall ball. You will need the following items for your player: pants, belt, socks, cleats, cup, glove, bat, and helmet. (See bat regulations on main web page)
Q: I want to coach/manage. How do I do that?
A: Use your online registration account to register yourself as an adult for a position. Use the link during your registration to get the volunteer form to fill out and attach. If you are going to coach more than one team, you must register yourself for each team you want to coach. Managers and coaches must perform their own FDLE background and submit with registration. The cost is $24 per background check. Link is here.
Q: Should I register online or in person?
A: Please register online. It is convenient, fast, and efficient for you. There is nothing extra done in person that is different than online – we still put all of your information into our online system. We will only offer only 1 day of in-person registration - time TBA. Once you register online it will be easier to register for each new season with your previously submitted information.
Q: What division will my player be in?
A: League age is a little different than actual age. All youth baseball leagues run the same as a school year – starting with fall and ending in spring ball. If your player has a birthday before May 1st of the spring season for that baseball year, then they will play both fall and spring at the age they turn before May 1st of the fall/spring year. If your player has a birthday after May 1st of the baseball year then they play their current age for fall/spring until the next fall season. 4-5 year olds are TBall. 6 year olds are AAA. 7-8 year olds are Rookie. 9-10 year olds are Major 60. 11-12 year olds are Major 70. 13-15 year olds are Babe Ruth. Example. If your player is turning 7 before May 1st of the fall/spring calendar year, then they will play at the Rookie level.
Q: When will I know about my team?
A: Fall ball will have player evaluations – see schedule above. Teams will be put together by random draw. Your coach will connect with you before 1st practice day. Please download the SIPlay App at the top of the webpage. This will be the PRIMARY means of direct communication from your coach and contact information with your team members.
Q: What commitment do I have as a parent?
A: Your team Manager may select a Team Mom (or Dad) to help with communication, dugout, and other items. Managers appreciate anyone who can assist with practice, ask your manager if you can help. All parents are REQUIRED to work in the Concession Stand 1-3 times per season – if you miss your concession duty your team has to forfeit their game. NO exceptions. We also need your help from time to time as volunteers to help keep the park ready for baseball play and will send out notices of park cleanup days.
Q: When are games?
A: You will have 2 games per week – one on a weeknight and one on a Saturday. Weeknight games start at 6:30 and you should be at field by 6 PM. Saturday games times can be anytime between 9 AM and 5 PM – you should arrive 30 minutes prior to your game or as instructed by your Manager. Game time varies – Tball is 1 hour 15 minutes long, AAA through Major 70 will not start a new inning after 1 hour 45 minutes. No games during Spring Break.
Q: What is the new Bat rule?
A: As of January 1, 2018 all bats for Rookie, Major 60, and Major 70 must have the USABat stamp on them (No USSSA, 1.15, or BBCOR bats allowed). Babe Ruth can use USABat or BBCOR .50 marked bats. See this website: http://www.baberuthleague.org/bat-rules.aspx
Q: Who runs the park and what is their commitment?
A: NBYB Park is run by parent volunteers who make up the Board as elected by Park Members. You can become a Board Member or Park Member by filling out a form and submitting to the board by email. There are requirements around being a Board Member which includes having a registered player, non-compete with other sports, and time/meeting/volunteer commitments. Park Members have voting privileges for board members.
